Affiliated with the Dean of Professional Development.

General objective:

Providing all administrative and financial services and coordinating with the university units to facilitate work efficiency in a manner that serves all the employees of the deanship.

Missions

  • Implementation of the approved plans and programs.
  • Applying all financial and administrative rules, regulations, and instructions that apply to the University.
  • Implementing the administrative and financial activities in the Deanship to ensure the quality of the performance.
  • Implementation and evaluation of the Deanship financial and administrative programs.
  • Coordination with the Department of Financial Planning and Budget regarding preparing the Deanship budget.
  • Implementation of all financial and accounting operations of the Deanship according to the rules and regulations issued in this regard.
  • Applying the specific procedures for receiving and directing all incoming and outgoing correspondence to \ from the Deanship, as well as transferring and distributing correspondence in coordination with the Documents and Archives Center at the University.
  • Coordinating with the University's Purchasing Department regarding securing the Deanship's materials, equipment and services needs.
  • Coordinating with the warehouse department at the University about operating the Deanship's warehouse and storing the necessary stationery and office materials and tools in it and maintaining them by the approved rules and procedures.
  • Providing all organizational units' needs of the Deanship of the items stored in the Deanship's warehouse according to the procedures followed and ensuring a sufficient supply of the stored items.
  • Coordinating with the Deanship of Human Resources regarding the operations and reports of monitoring the regularity of staff working hours in the Deanship.
  • Coordinating with the Department of Transportation and Movement at the University regarding providing transportation services for all organizational units in the Deanship according to the instructions and procedures in force.
  • Coordinating with the Documents and Archives Center at the University in collecting, organizing and preserving the documents and archives of the Deanship to maintain them from damage and loss.
  • Coordination with the Communication and Information Center regarding the work of public relations and information in the Deanship.
  • Preparing the Deanship's news, scientific and media topics to publish them in the media.
  • Monitoring and documenting the published news about the Deanship.
  • Preparing a contact information guide for the Deanship's staff.
  • Receiving visitors to the Deanship from the various organizational units in the University.
  • Participating in determining the needs of human resources, equipment and materials and following up on their provision.
  • Participating in determining the training needs of the administration's employees to nominate them for the appropriate training programs.
  • Preparing periodic reports on the department's activities, achievements and proposals for performance development.
  • Any other tasks assigned to it within its competence.

 

 

Training Services Department:

Affiliated with the Dean of Professional Development.

General objective:

Providing support and assistance to the Deanship for the success of the training process in all operations before, during and after training.

Mission:

  • Implementation of approved plans and programs.
  • Application of rules, regulations and instructions related to training organisation.
  • Coordinating with the Student Skills Development Department, the Human Resources Planning and Development Department, and college departments to arrange programs and training courses according to a schedule approved by the Vice president of the Development of Community Partnerships.
  • Participating in studying the offers of training centres for training programmes.
  • Nomination and registration of participants in professional development programs.
  • Issuing and delivering certificates to participants who have passed the requirements of the professional development programs.
  • Communicating with candidates from faculty members, lecturers and teaching assistants to confirm their participation and send them the professional development activities details. 
  • Coordinating with the Deanship of Human Resources and the Deanship of Student and Alumni Affairs regarding candidates for the training courses.
  • Providing the necessary training techniques to implement professional development activities and ensure their availability in the classes in coordination with the relevant organizational units.
  • Reserve appropriate training halls inside and outside the university to implement professional development programs.
  • Preparing the training classes before starting the course, especially the teaching aids.
  • Evaluation and periodic follow-up on the professional development programs in coordination with the Institutional effectiveness centre.
  • Determining the needs of human resources, equipment and materials and following up on their provision.
  • Participate in determining the training needs of the administration's employees to nominate them for the appropriate training programs.
  • Preparing periodic reports on the department's activities, achievements and proposals for performance development.

Professional Empowerment Department:

General objective:

Achieving the highest levels of progress, excellence and creativity by developing the skills of faculty members, lecturers, teaching assistants, students, academic and administrative leaders, and all university employees.

Mission:

  • Implementation of approved plans and programs.
  • Applying all financial and administrative rules, regulations, and instructions that apply to the University.
  • Preparing and implementing training programs that develop and improve leadership, academic, research and administrative capabilities to enhance the quality of university education.
  • Drawing up future strategies to improve faculty members’ skills to achieve excellence and creativity in teaching and learning
  • Contact external training institutes to nominate the faculty members for training programs that meet their training needs.
  • Preparing programmes, seminars and workshops about administrative leadership in cooperation with the best local and international expertise.
  • Coordinating with the Deanship of Quality and Academic Accreditation regarding implementing programs and workshops that serve the academic accreditation’s requirements.
  • Preparing the training packages and trainers according to the best methodologies and practices.
  • Training students on self-learning, discovering knowledge and increasing their scientific and practical achievement in coordination with the Deanship of Student and Alumni Affairs.
  •  Developing the skills and abilities of the faculty members to design and develop academic courses and use electronic content in coordination with the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Learning.
  •  Encouraging the creative work of the university employees to achieve academic and administrative excellence.
  • Following up on the training process results for the university's faculty members and ensuring that the training achieves its intended objectives.
  • Supervising the implementation of the development programs for new faculty members.
  • Training students on a self-learning, discovering knowledge and increasing their scientific and practical achievement in coordination with the Student Skills Development Department affiliated with the Deanship of Student and Alumni Affairs.
